Once upon a time...

Many years ago, before the stickers & the animation, the exodus & the rebellion, there were three ambitious, loopy but likable lads working for an apple giant. A friendly apple giant! or so they thought...

'Twas in the equipment service shop of the Giant's lush, walled garden that Trent, Luis, and tucker became friends. And for that they would always think back upon those times fondly! Well, somewhat fondly.

But fast friends they were! with shared ambitions and a truly bizarre, beautiful sense of humor. It made their toils pass quickly. It built the foundation of a rapidly forming brotherhood! But it did not warn them of the Giant's hidden incompetence and greed...

They worked side by side by side nearly a year, exchanging jokes and honing technical skills, before The Exodus began. At first they knew not why so many fled in search of other opportunities. Soon! it became clear the Apple giant was denying certain long-promised benefits and selectively stifling advancements within his walled garden...

Those in the service shop saw the worst of it. Furthermore, picking apples didn't exactly quaff our trio's thirst for greatness. Morale quickly diminished, and for a time All hope seemed lost.

Then - as if sent by the gods - A kindly and affluent LOCAL LORD appeared. He lured us - i mean them! - lured theM with promises of fair pay and an excellent work/life balance, with great insurance & free MEad for celebrations to boot!

In the end, over half of the Giant's most tenured and technically savvy service shop crew had flown the coop. Trent, Tucker, and Luis were among those that struck out in search of greener pastures, and new adventure.

Within but a few months of working for the local lord, two things were certain: 1) this was undoubtedly better than the hard labor they faced with the Apple Giant. And, 2) they needed to get out immediately...

For it was a trap! Here too they found inequality and many a hollow promise. Nepotism, sexism, and greed. yet so many there had served the lord for untold years... Whence comes this devotion?! they wondered. Some say there's a twisted magic about the place, keeping people there. others say there's somethin' in that celebratory mead.

Years passed like days in those fields, that's all our trio knew for certain. They were captives. but they were not broken! and they were not idle...

Their irreverent jokes and stories kept them sane throughout the day, and granted a certain... clarity. Through the lens of fantastically farcical fiction, they discovered a new motivation. Quietly at first, they began to rebel against the notion that they must walk the path beaten smooth by so many who've come before.

So THEY carved out time TO CRAFT new STORIES TOGETHER. tHEY LEARNED TO DRAW. sTORYBOARD. wRITE SCRIPTS. Use keyframes. Save & BACK-UP OFTEN... countless TIMES, THEY BURNED THE MIDNIGHT OIL AFTER their toils, SHARPENING THE NECESSARY SKILLS. And sOMETIMES NOT SO NECESSARY ONES (LOOKIN' AT YOU bONE tOOL...)😅

they told stories of DAFT heroes, kindly monsters, MIGHTY crickets, and THE most devilish chick-fil-a. weekLY for over five years they met, one goal ever in mind:

tell stories that encourage people to change the way they think. eNTERTAIN and enlighten.

aNNNNND, MAKE A MODEST SUM FOR THEIR EFFORTS, OF COURSE! fOr you see, while escape the ensnaring lands of the local lord they did! Escape the earthly demands of this mortal coil they could not.

They dreamed of work that could serve as an outlet for their creativity! and not starving.

Thankfully! The solution came swift. The paramount importance of self-expression had always been a guiding light of sorts for the trio. And wouldn't ya know it!? drawing one illustration is a fair bit less time consuming than drawing hundreds.

And so! our humble, story tellin' adventurers finally settled in somewhere they could be creative, be themselves, be a force for good (more on this soon!) , and not starve!

Welcome, friend, to the Brain Switch Shop.
